Thk Nkw Zealand Farmers , Coopkrativb Association or Casterbory, Limited, report for the week ending Friday, tfay sth, 1893:— Wheat—The continued wet weather has interfered with deliveries, and the quantity coming forward has been very small. The tone of the market is decidedly firmer, especially for Hunter's, thie description being in request by millers. Wβ quote prime Tuscan 2s 9d to 2a 10d, velvet and Hunter's 2b Sd, second 2s to 2s 2d f.o.b. Oats—The market for this cereal shows further weakness, and export buyers hold aloof, milling Caaadian Is 10d to la lid, short feed Is 9d, duns and Danish Is Bd. Barley—Very little is now offering, and quotations are unchanged. Peas—Blue Prussians are taken for export at 3s 2d to 3s 3d f.o.b. Beans—A good proportion of the crop will sutler from the rain, and the easier feeling in prices which was apparent has been checked. The market closes at 2s lid to 3s f.o.b.

Rye Grass and Cocksfoot have merely nominal business at last quotations. Potatoes—Tbe Sydney market has been adversely afiected, and busiuess is only practicable there at a relatively lower level than local values. There is a fair enquiry from the North Island, which tends to steady prices. We quoto May deliveries 45s to 47s 6d, June 47s to 50s f.o.b. Cheese* has steady demand at 4Jd to 4 jd, butter, prime fresh 8d to 9d, salt 7d, eggs ls 6d, bacon and hams 7d to 7_d, beeswax lid.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports on the wool, grain, aud produce markets for the week ending 6th May, 1895 :— Wool—The .London sales closed ou 3rd instant, with firm prices. The sales made comprised 324,000 bales, of whicii 195,000 went to the Continent aud 5000 to America, 30,000 being held over for future disposal. Super, greasy merino was _d to Id per lb lower ; uut most other sorts improved _d to Id since the close of the lust sales. The next series is fixed for 20th June, the quantity being unlimited, au unusual condition at the J uue sales.

Hides, Tallow and Fab are in firm demand ab lasb quotations.

Sheepskins—Owing chiefly to the incessaub wet aud close condition of the atmosphere recently nearly all the green skins forwarded were in bad order, some so heated us to be worth very little. Extra care and attention between flaying and Bending to market would be amply repaid to the seller. Butchers' best crosssbreds, sound, made, 3s 9d to 4s 6d; damaged, 2s to 3s 2d; merinos, Is to 2s 3d ; lambskins, ls 9d to 3s 4d. Tho sales lacked spirit owing to the conditions mentioned.

Wheat—Offerings during the week'have been on a moderate scale, and little business has transpired. The Home market continues very weak, and theio are at present no apparent signs of relief. Cables during the week have been somewhat contradictory, and holders are naturally hesitating as to what course to take. We can only repeat our quotations : —Hunter's, 2s 6d to 2s 7d ; peari, 2a 7d bo 2s 8d ; Tuscan, 2s Bd, f.o.b. sacks extra. Oats—There is a steady inquiry in this market and a fair business is being done at our quotations. Prime milling ls lOd to ls lid, heavy feed ls 9d to ls lOd, long and ordinary ls 7d to ls 8d per bushel 1.0.b., sacks extra.

Barley—Current quotations are—Prime malting 4s to "4s 3d, medium 3s 6d to 3s 9d, thin and feed 2s to 2s 9d per bushel delivered, sacks extra.

Beans and Peas—No alteration since our last report.

Grass Seeds — Farmers' parcels, rye grass 3s to 3s 3d, machine dressed old pasture 3s 9d to 4s per bushel. Cocksfoot, undressed 2d bo 2|d per lb, machine dressed 3£d to 3j|d per lb delivered, sacks extra. Potatoes—Blue Derwents 32s 6d to 35s per ton at country stations. Dairy Produce—Butter in kegs 7d to 8d per lb. Cheese s_d to 4_d per lb. Grain Auctions—We held our periodical sale on sth inst., when we offered a varied catalogue of grain, &c, to an increased we had a most successful clearance. Good wheat made 2s 6d, 2s 7d and 2s 8d ; second quality, 2s Id, 2s 5d ; broken and inferior, ls 7d, 2s ; oats, ls s_d, 13 9_d ; seed barley, 2s 6d ; flour, £6; bran, £2 12s 6d ; pollard, £3; all ex store, sacks extra, except the lasb three items.

Properties—We have sold to Mr D. R. Hubchison, 711 acres, lob 1, Highfield estate, Kirwoe, leaving only the house block, 903 acres, now to be disposed of. Also, to Messrs Turner, Parish, Sheat and Bailie, four lots of Limehui'sb estate, Waikari. Lot 7 is still unsold, but we expect shortly to record its disposal. To-day, at eleven o'clock, at Mr Charles Clark's rooms, we offer thab magnificent pastoral estate, Mount Hutt, on account Messrs Murray-Aynsley Bros. Ab bhe upseb of £45,000, including stock and plant, this property is an undoubted bargain.
