ARREST OF DIRECTORS. Presa Aecctaßea—Skxttrio Xolesrapii—Copyright. Paris, December 18. M. M. Charles De Lesseps and Fontaine, Directors of the Panama Canal Company, have been arrested oa charges of corrupting public functionaries, M. Ferdinand Dβ Leaseps was spared owing to his age. M. Cotter haa fled to Vienna. M. Sans Leroy, member of the Chamber of Deputies, who is charged with having been bribed to vote. in favour of the Lottery Loan Bill, is imprisoned. Tue Committee have resolved to continue the enquiry. The arrests have caused a profound sensation. Domiciliary visits to the prisoner's residence resulted in the seizure of important documents. Berlin, December 18. Not one-twentieth of the members of the JEteichstag support the Army Bill.
