Professor Anderson Stuart, of the Sydney University, has written to Professor Bay Lankester suggesting' the advantages that would result from a European teacher and a colonial teacher occasionally arranging for a temporary exchange of duties. His friend approves of the idea, and commends it to the Professors and governing bodies of the Universities as not only practicable but advantageous alike to teachers and their classes. Appr-ciatiox.—The public still resog nine the great superiority of C. H. Man ning's work by very liberally conferring their patronage upon him. Mr Manning has been specially appointed photographer to his Excellency tbe Earl of Onslow, and also- the Countess and family.
