Tuesday, May 31. (Before R. Beetham, Esq., R.M.) Maintenance Case.—Agnea Read applied 4or an order compelling William Owen, the : putative father t>l her child, two years and I five months old, to contribute to its support. Mr CressweU appeared for the complainant, and Mr Westou for the defendant. Mr Weston raised the point that under section 103 of Justices of the Peace Act, 1882, the information must be laid within six months after the birth of the child. As he had only been instructed that morning he applied for'an adjourn* inent, which was granted till Monday next. Civil Cases.—ln Batrett v Quinn, a claim of £2, the defendant did not appear, and judgment was for plaintiff by default, with costs. Tradee Auxiliary Company ■? Thompson wag adjourned till June 2nd.
