The deceased, who was a native of Belfast, Ireland, has a relative ia Auckland and another at the Thames. A carpfiater named Gregory Nicholla, employed ia the banding of, a shed at Heflaby's slaughter-liouse, Cox's creek, was killed to-day, by the fall of some timber throngb a derrick giving way. The timber struck him oa the back of the head, frscsuriag his skull.
