WELLINGTON, March 29-
A fatal accideat occurred at the Forty Mile Bush this morning. A man named Charles Stewart, employed by Williams Bros., road contractors,.on theMangaone road, about fifteen miles from Pahiatua, was working in a cutting when a large boulder that was in the face of the cutting rolled on him. He was knocked to pieces, his entrails being scattered about the ground. The man is not knows to have any friends in the district.
Yesterday mornihg> young man named Workman, employed on the Midland Bail* way works at Kowai Bush, had his leg run over by a loaded track, Hβ wag attended by Dr. Meadows, who. recommended bis removal to the Christchureh Hospital, and he was accordingly brought into town by the afternoon's train.
