CRICKET.
Mr T. D. Harman, the Hon. Secretary of the Canterbury Cricket Association, received a telegram yesterday from the Secretary of the Welliugton Association, askinz whether Canterbury would play a match with them in Christcharch in March or April, and requesting an immediate reply. Mr Harman, on thfe receipt of the telegram, at- once called a meeting of kia General Committee, when It was decided to reply that Canterbury would be pleased to play Wellington on March 7th Members of the United No. 1 Junior Cop team, playUig at St. Albans this af teraoon, are requested to meet at the TJC 6.0. pavilion, at 1.45 p.m., when a conveyance will leave for the St. Albans cround* • A match will be played at Lancaster Park on Tuesday next/ between teams representing Messrs Edwards, Bennett and <3o , and the remaining warehouses combined. Both teams will iuclude some first ci&se players, besides some very secondda*9 men, and an interesting frame should result.
