Sexton, in the House of Commons, in connection with the failure of the Irish Land Purchase Act, further declares the inability of the Imperial Parliament to legislate for Ireland. The Opposition support the amendment. Iα the House of Commons, Mr Balfour moved—"That Mr DeCobain be required to attend in his place on February 23rd. M He declined to afford any protection to him pending a statement upon the charges against him.
The Parnellites will not elect a Chairman out of respect to the memory of their late leader.
