WELLINGTON, February 12. A meeting of the Dunedin members of the Anglican Synod was held yesterday to consider the fact of the Primate having issued an inhibition against the Rev. E. S. Howell being allowed to preach in any church in any diocese.
DUNEDIN, February 12. The final auction of yesterday's wool sales showed a decline of id to id as compared with previous sales. This is a slight improvement on the rates ruling at the morning sales.
INVERCARGILL, February 12. Southland County Council have- reappointed Mr Howorth engineer, who left the service for a more remunerative position, which he immediately resigned. The Council have invited applications for the position, but rejected all and gave the post to Mr Howorth, who was not a candidate.
