ENGLISH MAILS. IN—Direct mails left London on January Bth and February sth, and are due in New Zealand on February 22ud and March 21st respectively. San Francisco mail left London on January: 23rd, and i» due in; New Zealand on February 24th. Otrr—Direct mails left New Zealand on Janviary 9th and February 6fcU, and are due in England on February 28th and March 17th respectively. March. sth (due London April. 14th) and April 2nd (due London, May 12th) are the dates of departures* of next direct mails. San Francisco mail left New Zealand on January 30th, and is due at London on March 2ud. February 27th (due London March 80th) and March geth (due London April 27 tb) are the next San Francisco mail dates.

For Kaikoara, per Jane Douglas, at 7.45 p..m; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard's van, 6.5 p.m. train. For Grey mouth (direct), per Dlngadee, at 4.20 p.m. : late fee letters, 1.35 p.m.; guard's van, 5.30 p.m. traiu. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15. For Northern Ports and "Westpof t, per Bronner, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.-; guard's van, 1.25 p.m train. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17. For Australian Colonies, and also for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (specially addressed " via Briudisi " only), Point de Galle, India, China, Japan, &c, and also for France, Algeria, Mauritius, Cape of Good Hope, &c (specially marked per "French Packet" only) per express (to connect with Te Anau at J»orc Chalmers), at 10.15 am.; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m.; guard's van on express, at 11 a.m.
