MORNIXG SESSIOX. ; Business was resumed in the Ministerial ; Session at 10 a. m. yesterday morning. $ 3 Several ministers obtained permission to j attend the next Conference in W#l-' , lington. i Rev. W. B. Martec moved-—" That a Conference be requested to prepare and f issue a revised form of schedule book." 1 Carried. i A long discussion took place on the affaire 1 of the " New Zealand MethodisiL" Sugges- , tions were made by several members, and it i was decided to send certain recommendal tions to the Directors, j Rev. W. J. Williams moved—"This I meeting wishes to express its gratification > at the success of the juvenile concert held i last evening in Tuam street Hall, and to i congratulate Mr Daltry, the conductor, and i the Committee on the efficient musical I training of the children which led to such a I successful result." > Several members spoke of the pleasure ' they derived in attending the concert and ■ hearing the singing of the young people. i The resolution was carried unanimously. 3 The remainder of the session was occupied l with a general review of the work of the Church throughout the district, and the following resolution was adopted :—" That having reviewed the statistical returns presented to this district meeting, and noted the apparent decrease of membership indi.cated thereby and occasioned by revision of the rolls, we desire to supplicate Almighty God for a more abundant enduemeut of spiritual power and to make a renewed and complete consecration of ourselves to Him. We have been gratified by the tone of the conversation on the work of God, for the number* of conversions reported, and the general spirit of expectancy expressed. 1 Whilst therefore there is no reason for 5 depression of spirit, there is a loud and I imperative call to self examination and to a fresh and full devotion of all our resources to the Masters service and the spread of His kingdom, and we accordingly pledge ourselves thereto." Rev. W. B. Mabtbk moved—" That the best thanks of this meeting be accorded to the Rev. W. Morley for his able conduct of the business of the meeting." e> The resolution was carried with accla- ; mation.
