Saturday, May 23. (Before H. Allwright and A. Chalmers, . Esfts., J.P.s) DRUNKENKES3.-rSarah Shave, who had been under treatment for eight days, was pay 12s maintenance fee or, in default, fourteen days' imprisonment.

Larceny.—James Reilly and Frederick Snow were charged with stealing a pair of trousers, valued 11s, the property of J. Brice. Reilly pleaded Guilty and Snow Not Guilty. From the evidence it appeared that the accused were seen outside Mr Brice's shop, and subsequently the trousers were missed. On information being given to the police, the articles were found in a second-hand shop, where they bad been left by Snow. On being arrested Snow etated that he had met Reilly, who gave him the trousers to dispose of. The Beoofc (held that Snow was quite as bad as Reilly, and sentenced both to fourteen days' imprisonment.
