Cauht-Ta, May 21. The publio executioner ac Manipur states that he received his order for the killing of Messrs Quinton, Grimwood, and the others from the SenapatL The prisoners were placed in a standing position with chains on their legs and their hands tied behind their backs, and while iii that helpleas position their heads were severed with a Burmese knife.
Calcutta, May 22. The youngest Manipur Prince, Zilla G-unda, has been arrested in connection with the murder of British officers in the recent revolt.
