Mails close Cor the following places a-< Under, subject to the necessary alterations :— FRIDAY, MAY 22. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Tekapo, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, and Australian Colonies, per Wairarapa, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. SATURDAY, MAY 23. For Napier and Glsborne, .per Janet Nicoll, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports per Penguin, at 7.43 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard'B van, 9.5 p.m. train. Holiday.—Monday, May 25th, will be observed as the Queen's Birthday by the Post and Telegraph Department, and all brauches of the Post Office will be closed. Mails usually closed on Monday will close at 8 p.m. ou Saturday, May 2brd, and the Post Office will open on May 23rd from 9.30 to 10.30 p.tn. for counter delivery of letters usually delivered by letter carriers.
