London, May 12. Three hundred cases of apples by the Mainari realised from 10s to 16s.
The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,808,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,928,000 quarters. The Euglish wheat market has a downward tendency, and Continental a little worse. American is strong. Forward business in Australasian shipments is weak, at a decline. Arrivals of foreign shipments are moderate. There are uo Australasian cargoes off coast or in ports of call. Union Steamship Company's shares are quoted at £12. Received May 14th, 19.45 a.m. Calcotta, May 13. A remarkable revival has taken place in the wheat trade. Forty thousand tons are awaiting shipment here. Received May 14th. 8.30 p.m. Sydney, May 14. The following are the current quotations for the principal silver mining shares: — Proprietary, £11 2- 6d; British, £3 Is 3d ;"Central, £6 ss; South, £5 18s; Blook 14, £6 13s; Block 10, £14 16s; Junctions, £2 17s. London. May 13. The American visible supply of wheat is 33,500,000 bushels.
