Malls close tor the following places aa under, subject to the necessary alterations :—
THURSDAY, MAY 14.
For Northern Ports and Westport, per Takapuna, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports per Manapouri, at 6.25 p.m.; late fee letters, 6,40 p.m.; guard's van. 7.45 p.m. train. FRIDAY, MAY 15. For Northern Porte and Greymouth, per Rosamond, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. SATURDAY, MAY 16. For South America, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe (specially addressed correspondence only), per Ruapehu, as follows:—Ordinary letters, 10 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.15 a.m.; registered letters, books and newspapers, 9.30 a.m.; guard's van, 10.55 a.m. train; parcels post parcels, 5 p.m., on Friday, May 15tb. This mail w ill be due in London on June 27th. Postasje to the United Kingdom 2£d per i-oz. WEDNESDAY, MAY 20. For the Unitod Kingdom, Continent of Europe and America, and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, &c, &c, and also for Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Takapuna, as follows: — Ordinary letters, 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; books and newspapers, 7JO <p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m.; raouey orders, 4 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 §.m. train. Tnis mail will be due in Lonon on June 24th. Postage to United States and Canada 6d per fcoz. Holiday.—Monday, May 25th, will be observed as the Queen's Birthday by the Post and Telegraph Department, and all branches of the Post Ofnce will be closed. Mails usually closed on Monday will close at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd, and the Post Office will open on May 23rd from 9.30 to 10.30 p.m. for counter delivery of letters usually delivered by letter carriers.
