THE BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

By Saturday night's express there arrived a large number of visitors, many of whom are to. take part in the bowling tournament of this week. Members from the Caledonian, Dunedin, Roslyn, Green Island, and Taieri Clubs were met by representatives of tne local Clubs and cordially welcomed, and before the close of to-day the Wellington, Timaru, and Oamaru players are expected to arrive. At tea o'clock this morning the matches Christchurch v Dunedin, and Green Island and Canterbury v Caledonian and Roslyn will be commenced on the respective greens. The following members of the Canterbury Club have been cbosen.fco play for their Club:—Messrs Taylor, Oakley, E. Toomer, H. W. Toomer, Savage, Bergh, Parsons, Hale, Mercer, B. Grey, Barnett, Pinfold, Toomer, Sen., Delbridge, Beverley, Harris, Coleman, Thomson, Carl, Toovey; emergencies, Messrs Alexander and Prudhoe. At 2.30 p.m. the following matches will be played :— Christcburch v Caledonian and Roslyn, on the Chmtchurch green; Canterbury v Dunedin and Green Island, on the green of the Canterbury Club ; and Sydenham v Wellington, on a green to be fixed.
