On the 14th January, while on the passage from Buenos Ayres, the vessel was caught in a heavy westerly gale, and ahe pooped a big sea, which carried away the steering platform and the wheel aad broke into the after-deck house, and swept through the cabins. Ko other damage was done about the decks, the vessel was brought to the wind and the damage repaired.
