Major Steward : leaves for the South this afternoon.
The Premier to-day received a cable message from Sir Hy. Parkes, Premier of New South Wales, expressing the hope that New Zealand would be fully represented at the Federal Convention, which opens on the -3th inst. Sir Harry Atkinson has informed the Government that he is willing to act as one of the representatives for New Zealand. The Government have again communicated with Sir G. Grey in the matter.
