[PBJCSe ASSOCIATION THLEQBAU.] AUCKLAND, February 8. The native's at Samoa have given Taloloas in honor of the Chief Justice. His Honor's first work on hia arrival was the preparation of the electoral roll lor the Municipal elections on,3oth January. In an address to the natives, the Judge declared that Maliotoa was thq King, and .that no other person would be .recognised in that position, by the Great Powers j that the people would soon be aaked to pay taxes, but they would not be greater than were neceasary,.
