[PBESS ASSOCIATION TBLKQBAM.] ' HAPIEB, February 2. An unoccupied store on the Spit, formerly the Union Bank premises, adjoining the extensive stores and bond of Bobjohns and Co., was destroyed by fire at an early hour this morning. By the exertions' of the brigade the fire was confined to the building, but considerable damage was done to Bobjohns , premises. The origin of the fire is unknown. News from Wairoa states that Carroll's wool shed was destroyed by fire, with twenty-eight bales of wool. The insurance on the Spit building was Standard JB6OO.
