REEFTON RACES.
(FBBSS ASSOCIATION TBLBQRA.U.J BEELPTON, December 29. The Reef ton Races took place on Saturday. The weather was showery, and 1400 people were present. The principal events were as follows:—District Handicap—Honesty and Tyrant dead heat, Heather Bell 3. The stakes were divided.: Time Imin 54sec Dividend, Honesty £4 la, Tyrant £5 Ba. Inangahua Cup—Exchange 1, Quibble 2, Count d'Orsay 8. Time 3min 50 2-Sth sec. Dividend £5 8a 6d. Midland Railway Stakes—Count d'Orsay 1, Honesty 2, Tyrant 3. Time Imin 028-sth see. Dividend £2 19s 6d. Hurdler— Captain Abraham 1, Lioness 2. Time 4min 20 4 sth sec Dividend Ml 18s 6d.
The second day's races took place to-day. The rain cleared off, but the course was heavy. A thousand were present ££2470 passed through the machine. The Hurdle waswonbyCaptainAbram,andthe Miners' Handicap. by Dollar, the latter paying £21 65.., .Midsummer Handicap—Quibble 1, Exchange 2, Sweetie 3, Tlnoe, 2min 54 2-stha sec Dividend, £3 17s. The Boatman's Handicap was won by Exchange, and the Consolation by Montd'Or.
