s (rajssß Asooauaaaxt nativm^v,) . AUCKLAND, May 14. News from Samoa etafcea that Thursday, ICaj tth, had been proclaimed by a- day of national thanksgiving for the restored peace of Samoa. A murder accompanied by <»wt*p>Mdiem has been discovered at Apia, a Line islander, an old man, having been killed aad part of his body eaten. It is supposed the deceased became involved in a quarrel with some foreign labor boys. The German Consul is investigating the matter, but no clue to the perpetrates* of the crime has yet been found..
