Mr Cecil Koikes, the PostmasterGeneral, States that the present loss on the outward postal service to Australia, was £78,000, and that a reduction to a penny to India and Australia would be an additional £130,000. CONGREGATIONAL UNION. Dr. Brown, of Bedford, has been appointed Chairman of the Congregational Union. [The Rev. J. Brown, 8.A., IWX, is minister of the well-known' chapel at Bedford, known as " Banyan Meeting," which dates from 1650, and of which Dr. Brown has been in charge since I$H. Hβ is the author of a life of Bunyan, published recently, which is regarded as by 'far the most complete biography of the great allegorist yeD printed.
