Adblajbb, April 29. Farther particulars have been gleaned ftlattve to the fatal accident on beard the barque Grutmcock Water, which arrived «t Pore Pirie from Cardiff yesterday. This was successful for a time, bat about 4 p»m* on the afternoon of April lat the wind suddenly veered to the south-east, And almost at the same moment a fearful Ma broke over the vessel amidships oa the port side, and rushing aft carried seven men overboard. Four of them managed to ding to the railing, bat John Brydon, apprentice; T. Davis, able seaman; and H. Boltiei, ordinary seaman, were swept away, otiose who bad clang to the railing managed to scramble on board, bat the other three were carried away in sight of their ahipm&tes. The vessel was running about twelve knots per hoar at the time, and th» sea was so heavy that no assistance mold be rendered the unfortunate men in the water. John Owen, from bronchitis ; and another, Hugh WiiUasta, who fell from the crossiaek yard on to tiie bridge, fracturing his skull, death being almost instantaneous.
