The prospects of tbe Victoriaii loan are improving, and it is hoped double the amount required will be subscribed at about £101 15s. Victorian Three and a Half per Cents, have risen £. Received April 18th, 1.35 a.m. London, April 17. The feeling over the successful floating of the Victorian loan is how more sanguine. Foreign brokers are enquiring for it, and it is expected that the public will tender largely. The Banks are inclined to support it, and it is believed that a Syndicate will make special efforts to secure allotment. The Standard asserts that there is no enthusiasm over the loan, but interested will secure its being well covered.
