LODGE MEETINGS.
The fortnightly meeting of the Washington Lodge, No. 28, Independent Order of Oddfellows, *as held on Monday, in the hall in Selwyn street, Aldington, 'when there was a large attendance of members and visitors, including Bro White. N.G., Bro. H. Wanner. V.6., and Bro. Turnbull, P.G., of Ridley Lodge, and Bro. Hammond, from Sydney. N.G: Bro. C. Harding presided. Bro. Henderson, of No. 1 Pioneer Lodge, Dnnedin, was admitted by clearance card, and two were proposed for .membership. A vote of thanks was passed to the visiting brothers, and responded to by Bro. Hammond, of Sydney, and Bro. White, Bidgley Lodge. After the transaction of a large amount of other routine business the Lodge was closed by the N.G. During the evening harmony was indulged in, when Bros. Bart, Golding and Henderson contributed some excellent songs, and Bra Moore gave a recitation.
