Three hundred thousand members of Trade Unions, Radical Clubs, and Friendly Societies will hold a demonstration in Hyde Park on May 4th in honor of eight hours' labor. The London Trade and Labor Council have resolved to ignore the Chamber of Commerce, and leave Trade Unions and employers to settle their own disputes. It has also been agreed to allow delegates from the Female Unions to become members of the Council. Vienna, April 11. A strike occurred in many tf&dea, the operatives demanding eight hours' labor and an increase of 50 per cent, in wages. Six hundred Vienna Unions will hold a demonstration on May Isfc, advocating eight hours. Received April 13th, 6.30 p.m. Paris, April 11. Despite the order of M. Constans, forbidding a demonstration on May Ist, in favor of eight hours' labor, the Socialists are determined to parade the stieets with 200,000 men on that day. New York, April 11. Carpenters have given notice that they intend to go out on strike on May Ist, demanding eight hours' labor. Received April 13th, 6.30 p.m. London, April 11. The Midland colliery owners having couceded 40 per cent, increase to the miners, the leaders of the strike discourage any further agitation being carried on until Christmas.
