A meeting of the General Committee was held at Kirwee on Thursday, April 3rd. Present-r-The President (Mr Ji H. Anson) in- the chair, and Messrs Dysart, Sandison, Seaton, Cook, Croskell, Smith, Addington, and McNae. Correspondence wasread:—A circular from the Farmer's Union was ordered to lis over for future discussion. From Mr R. Farrell, asking for prize gained at the late show. The Secretary informed the meeting that the prize had been paid. From Mr Lake, offering to supply dipping powder with same concession as formerly made. Re-

ceived. The Secretary was instructed to write to the traffic' manager in re the great delay experienced in getting grain away from the'Kirwee shed. It was stated that some grain had been in the shed over a month, and that there were now over 3000 sacks in the shed and a quantity stacked outside, and some farmers were obliged to stop carting. Some repairs to the yards were ordered to be carried out. It was decided, to hold the annual meeting on Thursday, 21th inst. Accounts amounting: to £18 were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
