CONFERENCE WITS THE BISHOP ::2::PE^M4^7 : '7;; t 7^' The Very Bey. the Dean received a telegram from the Bishop of Nelson on Thursday afternoon, stating that he was leaving for Christchurch that night, and asking him to invite the "Standing Com*mittee to meet him on Wednesday next* Dean thereupon sent an urgent telegram to the, Bishop of 'Nsdspo stating that if there was no objection he would aiso Invitevmembers of the Cathedral Chapter and members of. the. General Synod resident in Christchurch to the Conference. A reply was received on behalf of the Bishop of Nelson consenting to this arrangement.. .■-■>,•='•• Jt is understood that Mr A, Pitt, Chancellor of the diocese of Nelson, accompanies Bishop Suter to Christchurch* Bishop Harper has received a telegram from the Bishop of Nelson, stating that he will arrive in Christchurch this evening. ..■ .
