Broken Hill Proprietary shares fell to £74, but afterwards recovered to £18. EXTRAORDINARY DISCLOSURES. The actuarial investigation in the affairs of the Premier Permanent Building Association which recently closed its doors, reveals an extraordinary state of affairs. During three years loans amounting to a million and a half were issued. As an example of the loose way iv which advances were granted, it is stated one person borrowed a hundred thousand pounds, though he was already responsible for five previous L .as amounting to -£50,000.
