RAILWAY EMPLOYEES' INSURANCE BILL.
ASSOCIATION TEUSORAIt) CJVERCARGILL, Ootober ]*&. Some employees here having asked Mr J, W. Bain the interpretation ot the; Bailway Employees' Insurance Bill he has replied through the press that, in his opinion, the employees who have held meetings are under a misconception as to the scope C* the measure—that the Government and the railway servant- are to f-ud the funds required to provide retiring allowances, Sea. Mr Bain thinks that employees should not oppose the Bill, but rather do all they can to pass it. The opposition, he states, should come from the taxpayers, who will be called on to provide insurance funds, if required.
