De. Hannay on Nbw Zealand.—ln a letter to the Christian IForW on the subject of his recent visit to the colonies, Dx. Hannay says:—" I£ New -'-aland can keep herself out of the hands of speculative financiers and political adventurers, and patiently develop her wonderful resources, she will, at no distant date, lift her head as the Britain of the Southern Seas, and play no unimportant part in the furtherance of all the high ;interests which lie near .to the heart of the mother country."
