[FROM OUR SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, July 11. It is understood that the Comptroller and Auditor-General, Mr J. E. Fitzgerald, who has been ill for some time, is about to be granted four months' sick leave, and will take his departure for England by the Doric on the 25th inst., returning to New Zealand in November next.
