W-mNESDAT, JVLY 10. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. CHURCH PROPEBTY TRUST ACT. The CJhurch Property Trust of Canterbury Act, 1879, Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. KKW BILLS. A Bill to provide for the inspection of the register of certain corporate bodies, oot being mining Companies or Companies incorporated under the Companies Act, 1882, or Acts thereby repealed, was introduced by Mr Wilson, and read a first time. The ATTORNET-G-arERAL introduced the Canterbury Society of Arts Reserve Bill, which was read a first time. • X_r_*__S->-Ttl-U_ OP QOVERSMEST MONET. On the motion of Sir G. Whitmore, it was tgreed tbat tbe following return be laid on the table: —The amount of money spent by the Government in each of the following localities on roads, railways, telegraphs, miningworks, pumps, water-races, sludge channels, or other works intended to be remunerative -.—The Province of Hawke's Bay and Cook County; the Province of; Auckland, except Cook County; the 1 Province of Taranaki, with Waitotara, Wanganui, and Rangitikei Counties; the Province of Wellington, except the last named three counties; the several provincial districts of the South Island; tbe revenue accruing from the public works, railways, telegraphs, and mining works in each, and the sum collected through the Customs for the financial year ending 31st March last. I The Council rose at 2.45 p.m. till tomorrow.
