HOKITIKA GREY RAILWAY.

HOKITIKA, July 8. A monster indignation meeting was held in the Town Hall to-night, to consider the action of the Government re the HokitikaGrey railway. The Ministry promised to go on -with the -work at both ends, bnt now say they will complete the Greymouth to Teremakau section. They say -£90.000 is required to complete the line, in addition to i>9ooo now available, making , £99,000 in all. The Mayor gotawiitten offer from Price and Maher, responsible contractors, offering to complete the line for JE50.000. Intense indignation is prevailing »ad the Ministry and the Public Works Department are accused of falsity and breach of faith. The meeting carried a resolution urging the Government to •gain ooarider the matter.
