Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary .alterations, :— MONDAY, JULY 8. For Northern Ports, and Westport, pe* Mahinapua, at 1-30 p.m.: late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard's van, L_sp.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Waxtaka, at 8 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p-m. train. For Otago, per Mawhera, at 4.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m.; guard's van, 5.30 p.m. train. TUESDAY, JULY 9. For South America, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe (specially addressed correspondence only) per Penfiin, to connect at Wellington with aikoura, also for Northern ports of New Zealand, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; books and newspapers, 7.30 p.m.; registered letters and parcels, 5 p.m.: guard's van, 9.5 p.m« train. This mail will be due in Plymouth on August 22nd. WEDNESDAY, JULY 10. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe (specially addressed per Orient steamer only), and Australian Colonies, per express (to connect at Port Chalmers with s.s. Te Anau), at 10.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m.; guard's van on express at 11 a.m. FRIDAY, JULY 12. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Cape of Good Hope, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c, &c, per Takapuna, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, Bp.m.; books and newspapers, at 7.30 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m.; money orders, at 4 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on August 19th.
