RAUKAPUKA.
_The annual meeting took place in the Courthouse, Geraldine, yesterday. Present —Messrs J. M. Barker, Major Moore, W. E. Barker, and Allan Macdonald. JAr J. M Barker was elected Chairman. The police report of the licensed houses in the district was read and considered satisfactory, except in the case of the Hilton Hotel, which needed painting outside. Applications for the renewal of licenses were made and granted as follows: —W. Wheelband, Rangitata Bridge Hotel; T. Clayton, Star of the South HoteL The Application of Jane Tindall for a renewal Jpf license for tbe Hilton Hotel was held pver till Saturday week. It was decided ihat the fees and conditions of licence be ahe same as last year. It was also decided toot to grant a conditional license for the Racing Club's meeting. The ■Committee then adjourned till .Saturday iweek, when Mrs Tindall'a application will [be considered.
