TAI TAPU DAIRY FACTORY.
A meeting of Directors was held in the Library on Thursday, April 4r,b, at 7.30 p.m. Present—Messrs Rainey (Chairman), Mangels, Leathern, Herrick, Quayle, Peryman, Forbes, and Champion. Correspondence—From Me-ssrs A. and T. Burt, relative to separators ; from Mr Cottle ; and a telegram from Mr Marr, informing the Chairman that he had left Auckland for Tai Tapu. The Chairman was requested to get instructions as to erection of machinery, and forward same to Messrs Burt. The Chairman reported that the architect had passed the work. It was decided to insert notice in papers informing shareholders that the second call falls due on April 16th.
A special meeting, convened by the Chairman, was held on April 10th. Present —Messrs Rainey, Herrick, Leathern, Chammon, Mangels, Forbes, and Qaavle. The Chairman stated that the object of the meeting was to receive final balance sheet from architect, and to make Anal arrangements with Mr Marr. The balance dne to builders was authorised to be paid, and it was resolved that the Directors, in justice to the shareholders, are unable to entertain recommendation of architect that £5 be allowed to builder on account of rise in cement. An amendment that the sum of £2 10s be paid bricklayer on account of the satisfactory manner in which he has completed his portion of the work was, noc seconded. The manager, Mr Marr, notified his acceptance of the terms offered by the Directors. After transacting some routine business the meeting adjourned.
