ASSESSMENT COURT.
♦ MrC. Whitefoord, R.M., sat in the Municipal Chambers yesterday at 2 o'clock, to hear objections to the valuation list. Mr C. Cuff, City Valuer, and Mr Murray, representing the City Council, were also present. SOTTTH-EAST TTAHD, C. S. Hawley from £25 to £20; James M-Kay £14 to £12, £16 to £14, £9 to £5, and £9 to £5; F. J. Fuchs (Wellington Hotel) from £376 to £270. SOUTH-WBST WARD. G. H. Sharp from £38 to £35. Mr Whitefoord will sit at 2 p.m. to morrow to hear objections to the list in respect to the North-east and North-west Wards.
