Sinecure and Abercorn did a strong two miles on the tan. Rudolph and Volley spurted six furlongs in good time. The steeplechaser Game, looking in splendid condition, did good serviceabl work, as also did Bravo, Oakleigh Dragon. The betting on the Champion Stakes is a dead letter, though Carbine promises to start the favorite. Received March 6th. 10 p.m. MELBOURNE, March 6. The following have accepted for the Champion Stakes to be run to-morrow :— Carbine, Abercorn, Lonsdale, Cyclops, Melos, and Volley. There is no betting whatever.
