TYPHOID FEVER IN MELBOURNE.

[PRESS ASSOCIATION T___3_l___f.] DUNEDIN, January 26. 'Private letters from Melbourne give sad accounts of the typhoid epidemic there. Among the latest victim, were three old residents of Dunedin. When tihe mail left, four others were on tbe point of death. (At the International Medical Congress, Be. Robertson, of Melbourne, read a paper on the history of typhoid in Victoria. The disease was introduced., in his opinion, from a British port, and was not known prior to*he discovery of gold in the colony.
