- Messrs Percy Smith and Lewis have been completely successful in their mission of inducing Natives to allow blocks of land in the King Country that have passed the Court to be surveyed. Applications have gone, or will go in this week for from eight to ten. large blocks, covering the whole of the country from tie boundary up to and beyond Otorohonga and on both sides of the railway, the countay that the Government are anxious to have pushed on and prepared for settlement as soon as possible.
