Paris, January 23. M. Floquet is making concessions to some shop owners with the object of securing their influence to obtain the vote of those engaged in trade in favor of the Government candidate for the Seine election. General Boulanger proposes to re-admit Duke d'Aumale to citizenship. The excitement over the election is increasing. Boulanger's chance is slightly waning.

Paris, January 24,
Serious rioting is feared on Sunday in consequence of the election excitement. M. Floquet, the French Premier, prophecies that Boulanger, as a candidate, will be defeated by eight thousand vote 3.
Boulanger denies that he has any intention of proposing the recall of the Due d'Aumale.
