COLONIAL CLERGYMEN.
TO THE EDITOB OF THE PRESS. Sib,—The cablegram in your to-day's issue concerning the colonial Anglican clergy will doubtless raise a howl of disapproval from those gentlemen and their adherents, bot of a verity the statement is one of substance and fact, and has never been more observable in this diocese than at the pre-: sent time when a Bishop is wanted, and when a man cannot be found among our clergy who Is thought by his companions in arms in the Church militant capable of filling the office. The letter of the Rev. Mr White, himself formerly a clergyman of this diocese and likely to know what he is writing about, gives us an idea of the petty qualities he' finds in our clergy, and which he warns them against. Let na hope that the -accessor to oar pre—_t Primate will be a man sufficiently alive to the importance of a complete! change, and who win take the bull by the horns and -horoughly purge the garner.— Yonr-.&c., '
