[PKKBS ASSOCIATTOI* «aXEBRAM.] WELLINGTON, November In the Magistrate's Court to-day, the Inspector of Weights and Measures proceeded agauut a number of drapers for baring unstamped measures in their possession. In the majority of eases. a nominal fine was inflicted, but in one case an important point watt raised, that the measure bearing the stamp required by the Imperial Act, the necessity for local stamping was obviated. Proceedings against a local pawnbroker for refusing to deliver up a Government rifle, on which he had advanced money, have been withdrawn, as he wisely handed over the ana.
