The Union Company's steamer Taupo, Captain Johnson, arrived at 10.40 a.m. yesterday from Greymouth. Her parser reports leaving Greymouth at 12.45 p.m. on §4th Inst., passed Stephen's Island at 10.30 a.m., and Cape Campbell at 4.55 p.m. on 28th, and- arrived as stated above. After discharging her cargo she loads for Sydney, and is expected to get away on Wednesday. The Union Company's steamer Orowaiti, Captain Ewan, arrived from Westport at 7.8U a.m. en 25th. Her mate reports leaving Westport on 24th, at 12.10 a.m., and passed Spit at 1.10 p.m. the same day, abreast Cape Campbell 4 a.m. on 25th, and arrived here as stated above. Captain Stott, arrived at 6.30 a.m yesterday from Westport, Nelson, and Wellington. Her purser reports leaving Westport at noon on the 23rd, arriving at Nelson at 6 a.m. on the 24th. Left again same day at 10 a.m. and arrived at Wellington at 11 p.m. Left Wellington at 9 a.m. on the 2oth and arrived as stated above. Experienced fine weather to Nelson, thence to Wellington strong S.E. winds, accompanied with heavy head sea. From Wellington to arrival, fresh variable winds accompanied with moderate sea. Last night one left for Timaru and Dunedin. The Union Company's steamer Wanaka, Capt. Meades, arrived at 6 a.m. yesterday from Onehonsa, Taran aki, and Wellington. Her purser, Mr Armstrong, reports leaving Dnehonßa at 11.30 a.m. on the 23rd 'Inst., called at Taranaki next morning, and reached Wellington at 6 a.m. on the 25th ; left again at II.SO a.m. same day, and arrived here as stated above. Experienced southerly gale, accompanied with head sea from Manokau to Wellington, thence to Kaikoura strong N.W. breeze, and for the remainder of the passage fresh southerly 'Winds. She left for Wellington last night at 9 o'clock. The barque Thurso cleared at the Customs yesterday with a foil cargo of produce for New South Wales ports. -At 3 p»m. yesterday the s.s. Grafton steamed for Wellington, Kelson, and Westport. The 5.3. Koranni steamed for Wellington asd Greymouth last night. The Union Company s s.s. Ohau this trip leaves Danedin for Auckland and Sydney. Mr Shepherd, the chief officer of the s.s. Wakatipa, went north by the β-s. Wanaka last Higot to take charge of her. A. quantity of butter arrived in Port from New Plymooth yesterday per the s.s. Wanaka, for shipment to Sydney per the Wakatipa. As will nave been seen by advertisement Messrs B. Tcmks and Co., of Auckland, announce the steamer Bose Casey, 132 tons; the brigantine Ika Vaka, 156 tons; the topsail schooner Torea, 78 tons; and the brigantine Ryno, S3 tons, for sale.
