FOUR YEARS' CONSTANT USE.

North Taleri, Otago, 3rd April, 1888. Gents:—l have much pleasure in Informing you that my Light Buckeye Elevator Binder has given mc every satisfaction. I have cut with it right through the past four ' seasons, and may say it is still in flngt-clase order. As regards simplicity of construction, lightness' of draught, and case of handling, there is little'further to be desired, and I can conscientiously recommend it to any farmer wishing to purchase. It is very suitable for this. district, but in view or our very tall crops, you would' do well to bring Out a slxtj Inch elevator. Yours truly, James Hagen. '

The Buckeye is guaranteed o do firstclass work in all conditions of crop, and to cut on steeper hillsides than all but one of the present season's elevators. Farmers requiring a binder should not take any machine they do not personally know something about, or that has not worked one or two seasons in the heavy and difficult crops of this colony. Testimonials signed by farmers who have seen a machine handled by its expert in a picked crop for an hour or two carry very little weight: whilst in another case a perfectly untried machine at Home and which its makers did not even send to the Australian agents, this season has been placed on the New Zealand market. Two other machines which have neither worked a season at bis end of the world are also offered for sale at reduced prices, but farmers In this colony should not allow manufacturers to experiment at their expense and may reasonably require some further proof of the ability of the different machines to do what is claimed before committing- the safety of their crops to machines which are untried, and may go back upon them, when their grain Iβ dead ripe, and reliable machines sold out. The testimonials published above are part of a scries of ninetythree received in this colony since last harvest, allot which will appear in these columns, and may be obtained in pamphlet form from any of the agents. Farmers should remember that over ninety-five per cent, of the leading trials held In Australasia during the last five years have been won by the Buckeye, McCormick and Hornsby, as well as most of the second and third awards. An expert will be available all through the season, and during the winter every Buckeye Is vta'ted by him and overhauled and adjusted, U necessary, free of cost to the owner.

Note—A complete assortment of duplicate parts wUf be kept at Chrietehurch, WelUnßon,Auckland,Ashburton.liinaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, Gore, tavercarglll, Rangiora, all through the coming season.
