November L There wae a large crowd st the railway station to night awaiting the arrival from Inveroargill of Thomas Gleeeon, arrested for various burglaries here and in Christchurch. He is a young man, about nineteen or twenty, with smooth face and, according to his statement, ia a native of Auckland. His collection ia about oue of the most miscellaneous character ever got together. Among his outfit were fouDd a false beard and elaborate moustache, eyeglasses, and ooemetica. Ho had also an elaborate silk drees and fittings, which led to the beliet that he has been mas ,uerading in women's attire. *H the goods lost in Dunedin were found, and a considerable quantity from Christchurch, whue others are believed to be proceeds of burglaries further north. He had fourteen watches, an air gun, saloon rifle, sporting gun, tv number of revolvers, jewelled dagger, handsonio pocket knivee, chains, nngs, silver table napkin rings, field-glasses, boxing gloves, &c, and a number of candle ends. Only £6 in ca&h was found on him.
