The Union Steamship Company's s.s. •Rosamond, Captain Lowe, arrived yesterday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, from Greymouth. Captain Lowe reports:—Left Breymouth at 10.20 a.m. on Bth inst. for Lyttelton, arriving as above. Experienced Sne weather to her arrival in Port. The S.S. Janet Nicoll, Captain Henry, arrived yesterday afternoon at one o clock Erom Greymouth. The chief officer reports:—Left Greymouth at noon on Bth inst. for Lyttelton, arriving as above. Experienced fine weather to arrival in The New Zealand Shipping Company s B.M. 8.8. Tongariro is due here this morning from Wellington. Thefceteh Catiin, from Invercargill, arrived in port yesterday morning. For London via Wellington the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's R.M. 5.3. Doric steamed hence last night. From Akaroa the s.s. Jane Douglas arrived in port last night. From Westport the s.s. Ohau arrived in port yesterday evening. There appears to be no prospect of lower freights for Australian ports for some time to come.
